Thinking with others is important for us at Practice Space. We invite mid-career working artists and thinkers from across the cultural fields to make new work, show existing work, lead workshops and ask site-specific questions.
Collaborations at Practice Space are deeply site-specific, emerging from the history of our building, our changing neighborhood, conversations, chance meetings, and artists whose work will further the Practice Space research agenda. Collaborations with thinkers and makers will take different forms and durations - some will look like traditional exhibitions and installations, while others might produce publications, performances and workshops, photoessays, or texts. Invited collaborators will be from the expanded cultural fields - from contemporary visual artists to poets to urban planners.
