Zoë Sundra x Practice Space fashion launch and music show

Welcome the equinox, the shifting of seasons with us at the launch of 10 one-off “She Said” sweatshirts designed especially for Practice Space by Zoë Sundra. Come for the sweatshirts, stay for the music: a set of folk songs performed live by Zoë.

Through salvaging disregarded sweatshirts and painstakingly hand embroidering them with the words and lyrics of bad ass female musicians, Zoë simultaneously combats fast fashion, celebrates the handicraft of embroidery, and elevates the profound words of women. (She is pretty bad ass herself.) See her work here:

Zoë says: “These pieces represent a dual purpose to me: presenting words either myself and/or other women identify with, are empowered by, are eager to communicate to the communities they inhabit and navigate. The second is to wear a garment that is soft, that is safe, that is functional. I began to create these pieces after a breakup with no intention other than comforting myself. My hope is that the sweatshirts can offer the same to someone else.”
