It's February now, and a good time to check in on where we are and what we're bringing into the new year. Join guest artists Danielle Freiman and Alexandra Williams in a double workshop of self-inquiry through manifesto writing and collage making.
Manifestos can be a tool to declare personal intentions and provide a framework for a project, idea, or creative practice. Focusing on how we use language towards ourselves and others, participants will have the opportunity to talk about personal and collective intentions for the present/future, as well as draft a Manifesto to keep and share.
Following the first half of the workshop focusing on the language we use to speak to ourselves, the collage portion will be an embodied approach of connecting to intuition through the processes of cutting, gluing, and composing shapes and lines.
The hope is that both of these methods will offer participants a framework for their intentions and practices, whether creative or everyday.
