BLUE : when is a color a feeling?


Artist Lauren Pellerano Gomez and curator Paige K. Johnston will discuss Lauren’s artist book, BLUE. BLUE is a collection of 24 poems exploring color as feeling, using poems, and fragments, and drawings, printed on transparent acrylic to create a layered, non-linear narrative.

Lauren Pellerano Gomez creates text-based work(s) exploring the limits of language through various media. She is the Deputy Editor at the Boston Art Review, and the Communications Strategist for Artists for Humanity, Boston.

Paige K. Johnston runs MIXED NUTS, an art consulting studio that provides visioning, art expertise, and organizational guidance to artists, designers, and institutions worldwide. Formerly, she was the Manager of Special Collections at the John M. Flaxman Library at the Art Institute of Chicago, including the Joan Flasch Artists’ Book Collection. Currently, she is the Manager of Public Programs at the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
